Obstacle Trail Challenge: Saturday, April 25, 2026 at the Orangevale Park Horse Arena. In case of bad weather or rain, the event will be moved to the rain date of Saturday, May 2nd. Lots of fun! Eight trail obstacles: 4 will be in the arena and 4 will be in the wooded trail area. Five age divisions, plus a Leadline division for riders 7 years and under . . . and an In-Hand Division for any age horse, any age exhibitor. Awards for the top finishers in each division plus judges’ shout-out awards. A Jackpot Obstacle Challenge will be held after the age division/in-hand competition is done. Win $ money $ !

Tack Swap: April 26, 2026 at the Orangevale Park Horse Arena. In case of bad weather or rain, the event will be moved to the rain date of Saturday, May 3rd. FREE admission! FREE parking! The first 100 adults who arrive to the event starting at 9:00 a.m. will receive a FREE goodie bag full of great stuff! The event will be kickstarted at 9:00 a.m. with a special arena performance by the Sacramento Sheriff’s Posse Mounted Drill Teams! Come hang out for the day. * Vendors/Booths. * Cow Chip Bingo. * Silent Auction. * Guest Speaker/Demos. * Food Trucks and Food Booths. Want to be a vendor or set up a booth space? Competitive Judged Trail Ride: May 16 – 17, 2026 at the Spenceville Wildlife Area (Brushy Creek). In case of bad weather or rain, the event will be moved to the rain date of Saturday – Sunday, May 30 – 31. The Competitive Judged Trail Ride will test the ability of each horse/rider to maneuver through a series of creative trail obstacles while riding on the trail ride. Each obstacle will have its own judge who will individually score each horse/rider. At the conclusion of the ride, the scores from each individual judge will be tabulated per each horse/rider. Five age divisions (no leadline, no in-hand divisions).
TWO SEPARATE RIDES:
1st Ride – Saturday afternoon, May 16th. Awards for the top finishers per each age division + judges’ shout out awards.
2nd Ride – Sunday morning, May 17th. Awards for the top finishers per each age division + judges’ shout out awards.
You can enter just one ride – either the Saturday afternoon OR the Sunday morning.
Or you can enter BOTH RIDES – Package Deal Discounted Entry Fee for both rides plus free camping Saturday night, and will be eligible for the TWO DAY OVERALL CHAMPIONSHIP AWARDS.

Horse Shows: Sept. 25 – 27, 2026 – Gymkhana – English – Western Horse Show at the Orangevale Park Horse Arena. In case of bad weather or rain, the event will be moved to the rain date of Friday – Sunday, October 2 – 4. Class Entry Fees: $5.00 per class. Members of SFHA, 4-H, FFA, and Pony Club pay $4.50 per class. All entries are taken the day of the horse show.
